You can currently only mail requisitions from "Add/Maintain Requisitions". It would be helpful if you could mail requisitions in other statuses as well, such as from your Requisition In-box or Process Approved PO Requisitions menu. For example: Our process includes our grant manager reviewing grant-related requisitions prior to approval; mailing them from the Process Approved PO Reqs menu would allow our Purchasing Agent to send those grant-related requisitions to the grant manager prior to issuance. This would also allow people to send them to others outside their ladder for review throughout the process.
Hi @Guest thanks for the idea submission. I have a few clarifying questions.
As you've noted, the "Mail Requisition" option disappears once a req moves past the "Initial" status. This is intentional as the approval ladder takes over assignment from here.
Is the idea here that you'd like to inject ad hoc approvers into the approval ladder via the Mail Requisition feature?
Is the idea you'd like to assign approved PO reqs to other users for a final review after standard the approval ladder completes?
Or is it both?
The first case would involve updating approval ladder logic to accommodate exceptions. The second case is already possible with the Assign field, but is missing the email notification.
