Years of Service Report - Consider Fixing YOS Calculation for Employees with Multiple Tenures

Hello,

It appears the Years of Service Report is not accurately calculating years of service for employees who previously separated and subsequently were rehired with the Agency.

EXAMPLE: Employee has > 25 years of service across two stints with the Agency. The employee separated from the Agency in 2008, and then re-hired in 2011. The YOS Report only reflects the current tenure (13 years as of March 2024). Changing the Employee Status field to “Terminated” does not yield his initial years of service with the Agency, as expected.

Interestingly, the employee’s earning history generated in the Employee Earnings History report shows payroll data since 2003. When I ran the report, the results show the last paycheck from the employee’s first tenure on August 29, 2008, with the next check dated April 08, 2011, as expected. I mention this to show that data across multiple tenures is captured elsewhere in ADG.

Accurately capturing the years of service for employees with multiple Agency tenures will help ensure employees are recognized as they reach various years of service milestones.

I am happy to provide steps to reproduce the issue if needed or test any coding patches when resolved on your end.

Sincerely,

Mike
