permit inspection calendar accessible from permit screen

When entering an inspection, you have to close out of Permit Applications & Permits menu and enter into the Inspection Menu to look at the daily calendar then go back to the permit menu. Would like to be able to view calendar from where the inspection tab is in the permit itself. It would save a lot of time, maybe clicking on the star and open an undocked calendar so we could look at both at the same time.
